." At 5' 2", I was actually worried that barrel jeans would overload my petite structure (as wide-leg slacks typically do). However it ends up that this design is actually best I don't must hem all of them (as I usually have to do with denims that don't have a much shorter inseam), as well as the refined bent shape of these pants makes me look means taller than I am actually (magic!). This pair in particular is actually so cozy, though I would certainly advise sizing down if, like me, you reside in between sizes, as they rest lower-waisted than anticipated. In terms of designing, I would like to respond to the slouchy, extra-large energy of the denims with some exciting, touches (as well as play off the amazing star-patch trend). So, instead of pairing all of them along with a chunkier shoe shape, I went for my favored ballet flats (which all of a sudden matched my cardigan), and a form-fitting little one tee that doesn't test the bagginess of the pants. As it receives colder, I'll be changing these out for mown knits, vibrant cattle herder footwear, as well as my beloved Dime Street layers to add to the excitable, vintage vibe."-- Esther Newman, Partner Author.
